Barrick Gold Lake Cowal Crusher Re-Grout
Project: Machinery foundation repair and regrouting of the Metso 5475 gyratory crusher at Barrick Gold Lake Cowal, NSW.
Problem: Primary crusher is mounted to reinforced concrete foundation via four stud bolts, steel packing and an epoxy grout with visual motion between the lower shell main frame and the grout foundation.
Solution: To jack up existing crusher, remove existing hold down bolts, remove grout and part of reinforced concrete foundation to a sound base, install and set K-screws to strategic locations under crusher frame, lower crusher onto K-screws & level, pour new Epoxy foundation to crusher after realignment completed, install new hold down bolts and tension to requirements.
